Privacy policy
The Taiwan Planting Sustainability Benefit Association ("we") takes your personal data seriously. This policy explains how our website (tpsba.org) collects, processes and uses personal data, and the rights you have under the Personal Data Protection Act of Taiwan. By using this site or submitting a form on it, you agree to this policy.
1. Purposes and categories of data
We collect personal data for the following purposes: event registration and contact, volunteer and partnership enquiries, replying to your questions, and sending you information about our activities. The data we collect is what you enter in a form, typically your name, email address, phone number and any notes you add.
This website does not process donations. All donations are completed on the Oen platform (oen.tw), which collects and protects the data needed for a donation under its own privacy policy.
2. Period, territory, recipients and means of use
- Period: until the purpose is fulfilled, or until you ask us to stop using or to delete your data.
- Territory: Taiwan, and the locations of the cloud hosting and email services we use.
- Recipients: the association and the service providers we engage for hosting and email delivery. We do not share your data with anyone else unless required by law.
- Means: email, phone or website notices, for the purposes above.
3. Cookies and third-party services
We use Google Analytics to count visits and improve the site. Its cookies are only activated after you choose "Accept" in the notice at the bottom of the site, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Embedded YouTube videos and the donation page are subject to the privacy policies of YouTube and Oen respectively.
4. Your rights
Under Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act you may ask to access or view your data, request a copy, ask for it to be supplemented or corrected, ask us to stop collecting, processing or using it, or ask for it to be deleted. Contact us by the phone number or email shown in the site footer. We will respond as soon as we have verified your identity.
5. If you do not provide data
Providing personal data is voluntary. If you leave a required field empty we will not be able to complete your registration or reply to you.
6. Security
We protect personal data with reasonable technical and organisational measures, including role-based access and encrypted connections. Only authorised staff can access form submissions.
7. Changes
Changes to this policy will be published on this page. This policy was last updated on 7 October 2026.
